Visions

Current projects

There are advanced plans for the future of the Isaberg area. The aim is the creation of northern Europe’s best leisure facilities, with top class experiential activities all year round.

Hunting was added to these activities in 2009. There are 1450 hectares available for buck and small game hunting, which has attracted great interest, not least among international visitors. The walking and canoeing trails have been improved and the snowgun system has been expanded for the 2010 season.

Isaberg Moose Park – opens in the spring of 2010. Isaberg Moose Park is a large moose enclosure where visitors will be able to see moose in their natural habitat.

Upcoming projects

Isaberg Ski Dome – a vision of an indoor ski slope, or ski dome, that makes it possible to ski whatever the time of year. The plans include a ski slope and cross-country loop with a shooting range for biathlon. Work is being carried out to secure financing for the project. If everything goes according to plan it will be the first of its kind in Scandinavia.

The plans for the Isaberg area also include the construction of a hotel, swimming facilities, skatelab park and a new campsite. It is important for Foundation Isabergstoppen that the area’s potential is emphasised. Trends clearly show that both Swedish and other European holidaymakers look for destinations offering experiences that focus on the outdoors and the natural world. It also means that Isaberg’s activities will have the minimum possible amount of environmental impact.
